Creative Domain
The creative domain of potential refers to natural abilities in imagination, invention and originality.
Signs of high potential in the creative domain include originality, innovation and inventiveness that have social value in organising ideas, images, words, sound, movement or objects (including digital media).
Quinton, Year 6, Singing
Quinton has shown great talent for singing from a very young age. By joining our school choir, teachers were able to identify her potentital and develop her skills in this area. She has since gone on to perform at staff network events and whole school productions.
Nicholas, Year 3, Piano
Nicholas has always had a talent for music and shared with his teachers that he plays piano. With this knowledge we were able to provide Nicholas with multiple opportunities to share his skills and delightful music with our school and community at various preformances, inlcuding presentation day.
School Production
Dance the Night Away!
Our Harrington Street Students sure did at our School Production. Students learnt dances with their classes and were able to perform these for their families and friends at the William Inglis. It was a night no one will forget.
Senior Dance Group
Our senior dance group has the opportunity to develop their talent through weekly practise sessions and perform at a range of different school events. Even without the outfits they shine with what they accomplish!
Charlize, Year 5, NSW Public Schools State Dance Ensmeble
Charlize was invited to join the NSW Public Schools State Dance Ensmeble. Her skills in dance are something we love celebrating
Lion Dance
For Lunar New Year Harrington Street hosts an exciting and energetic Lion Dance Performance to celebrate the diverse range of cultures at our school. We have been lucky enough to have students from our school perform and share their talents with our community.
Shadow Judging Creative Responses
Students in the opportunity Class have been able to participate in the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s
Shadow Judging Book of the Year Awards program. Through this program they were able to vote for their favourite book in one of the categories. They were also provided with the opportunity to submit creative reponses to reflect their understanding and appriciation of the books they studied through artworks.
